looking for video card for AMD 1100 Duron system

Right now it has a GF4mx, this is for a 12 year old. He loves games but GF won't spend the money to upgrade a new CPU+MB. She does want him to have a better system for games thought. I mostly deal with mid range cards, saw a 9800pro on Newegg for 73, sounds like about the best deal. But on a 1100 that might be overkill.

she doesn't want to break the bank, and pretty much ANYTHING we buy will be better then a GF4MX. Suggestions for a decen entry level? I am pointing her to a x300, but there are so many daam choices I don't even know...

humm 9600pro is 55 from chieftek, that is a pretty good deal. the 9800 is only 20 bucks more though, overkill or not that's a much better card. I think I will suggest the 9600pro, thanks man totally spaced on this card. This would be about as fast as an x600 right?
