Looking for two programs...

First of all, i'm looking for a program similar to CHKDSK, but more powerful and perhaps with a GUI.

Second, i've been looking into modem tweaking programs, but havn't found one that actually works yet...any suggestions? (for a dial--up modem btw)

Freeware would obviously be my first choice, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dnag, I just purged my archives of old progs, I had a bunch of tweakers and "accelerators"

Norton utilities if you like norton I don't think any program will really speed up a dial-up connection, get broadband

I wish i could, but i'm not willing to pay $57.99 a month, pay for my own modem, and pay a 90$ installation fee for 768/512 DSL quite yet...
