Looking for TV stand recommendations

A width of 65" would be ideal. 60" could be alright, but the TV would overhang an inch or so on each side.

I am looking for something wood. The local furniture has a few options at 60", but they all have too many doors, and not enough open room for hardware.

You could get two basic stands and put them right next to eachother if you're OK doing that. I know what you mean about most stands not having enough open room, they're hard to find.

Ah, I want to help you by recommending the one I got years ago. I like it a lot - nice looks, nice function. But I don't remember anything about the make or where I found it.

I did a good amount of looking at stands online to find one I like a lot.

I'll check later to see if I can find any identification.

Mine looks similar to this one and is set up thusly.

I have found this one: http://www.bello.com/wavs99163.php. The reviews seem mixed. Most of the lower reviews are due to insufficient packaging and damage during transit. It is out of stock at Amazon and Best Buy. I am thinking about ordering it for $352 from Walmart since it would likely arrive next week.

The shelves will fit my equipment, and the bottom ones are adjustable.

used to have my AVR where the cable box is and my center channel speaker where the AVR is, and my ps3/360 in the empty spots, with the cable box sitting on top of it, but now that i have my home theater i don't have any components up here. the bottom that has the door is 3 areas as well. you don't have to put the door on if you don't want.

Thanks. It looks like I stumbled across the same brand.

Is yours one of the ore open ones, or a wooden cabinet style?

Small world.

Mine is open. I think it's the best looking, or at least close, of the stands I've seen.

I have an older 65" LCD on it, so it takes the weight well.

You might like the cabinet though. Mine has other devices, but it could hold DVD's.

Handy with a circular saw? If so, find an inexpensive entertainment center on Craigslist and cut it down...(cut the uprights, drop the top down to make a surface to set the tv on top)
That's what I did 4 years ago when we upgraded from a 27" CRT to a 50" plasma.
