Looking for those 10x CD-RW???????

Outpost has a 10 pack of slimline Kingston 10x CD-RW. These (and ones like it) are the only way you are going to get anything over 4x write speeds with all those new burners e.g. TDX, Plextor, and all others based based on the Sanyo. They were showing out of stock and backordered but mine came today for $8.95 delivered overnight.

I bought one TDK 10x blank like the ones that are selling at CompUSA these days, but it cost over $2. Do the Kingston 10x blanks work well?

That link is session ID, and it doesn't work. On Outpost, all you have to do is "Mail to a friend" the feature to yourself, then you will get a short link.

Good find, although they are backordered. I orded a pack anyway, seeing that the only other 10X CD-RW that I've been able to get my hands on have been from BB and they were $15 for 5.

Why pay for RW disks when you can get CDR for 10 cents? Why spend time erasing (time that is wasted?) Just a question...

I am amazed this is third of the price that this product usually cost.

Any one ever tried this CDRWs ????

The correct link: Outpost CDRW x10

States Usually ships in one to two weeks , which is "Gentle" english for out of stock.

Hey Afronaut,

Let's look at this logically. You say you can burn one CD-R for $.10. That's great! The current deal shows that for $8.95 you get 10 CD's that you can re-burn up to 1000 times each. Let's see that's $.895 cents per CD right(8.95 divided by 10)? Well, on top of that you can rewrite to this CD up to 1000 times. Hmmmmm, I think .895 / 1000 = $.000895 each. I think that's a heck of a lot better than $.10 one time only. Also, since these are 10x write, that will save you way more time than the current 4x CD-RW's.

Side note: Cleaning a CD-RW so you can re-record to it takes less than 1 minute with faster drives. So, I totally like the idea of CD-RW. Especially for updating back-up stuff and the newest patches,,,,etc.

I placed my order for (2) 10 packs. Thanks for the post Thor2!

🙂

$9.98 for a 5 pack of Verbatims at Sam's Club if you're a member (search for verbatim cdrw). $2/disc is pretty cheap for a quality 10X.

They had plenty in stock at my local Sam's, which is great since nobody else seems to have them at their B&M stores yet.

Don't forget to use your 5% ebates discount too. Makes it a little nicer of a deal. Overnight shipping on out of stock products, sounds like a fine deal.

Got my shipment confirmation from outpost today. It took them a little over a month, a bit longer than the estimated 1-2 weeks. 🙂
