I just found a review article on the Raidmax Glacier CPU heatsink which said that it can out-perform the Thermalright SI-120.

Does anyone have any experience with these 2 heatsinks that would indicate whether this is true or not ?

Thanks.

My question was for anyone that had any experience with both of these coolers, i.e. did they agree with the statement I mentioned that was made in the review !!!

But since you are not smart enough to find the review for yourself, here is the link.

I would take out the "not smart enough to find the review for yourself" part of that post. Kinda rude. It is a common courtesy to post links to an article or review that you talk about in your post.

The review looks promising, but I wouldn't give any of my hard earned money to raidmax. They make crappy products.

Just a point: The review compares the Raidmax with the XP120, not the SI-120. The SI-120 sacrafices a degree or two for better compatibility. I'm using one in my system and it's a great cooler. The review looks promising but ThermalRight is a known quantity. Raidmax, not so much. Go for the ThermalRight.

Judging purely by the looks, but to me the Raidmax thing seems inferior to the XP/SI-120 in every way. Considering that I've never heard of the brand before, and what I've heard about Thermalright so far, I'd say SI-120 no contest.

That was one of the worst reviews i've ever had the misfortune of reading. The utter lack of thought put into it, the most pathetic attempt i've ever seen to make the thing read as a fair match...
Yes, comparing a heatsink to another is a good idea, like the xp120, which is a nice cooler by all accounts. HOWEVER i'd have liked to know what the hell it's being compared to. It's an XP120 with a fan! Great! Wonderful! Hell who needs to know what fan it was used with! That looked more like a product plug than an assesment of how good the thing is.

It looks like a cheap knock off SI 120 with a crap bundled fan, a tacky "cool" look and very little to say about it that's good. Buy yourself a SI 120.
