Looking for the Cheapest Motherboard supports a Duron 1.2ghz

I want to build a cheap Duron 1.2ghz system for my parents. Whats the cheapest motherboard that would support one that also uses SDRam.

ECS K7S5A is the answer, and yes, it is a best cheap motherboard that support newer Duron and Athlon XP series using SDRAM memory.

How about a refurbed Epox 8K7A+ from newegg, about the same price.... better board. I already have a sound card, video, etc. I just wanna upgrade the motherboard, processor, and power supply for now.

Epx 8K7A+ sounds good as well, but personally I had one which gave me hassles all the time, always stuck in the BIOS when the led shows 49 code. Don't worry about the refurbished from Newegg though, I had 2 good experiences and one bad one buying refurbished mobo from newegg, but RMA is somethin' easy when dealing with Newegg.

kabir2, Duron, SDRAM, cheap, and complete system ... that boils down to using a PC-Chips M810LMR or M841LR.
These are all-in-ones with 3D VGA, decent sound, 10/100 LAN and AMR modem. 810LMR uses the older SiS 730S
chipset and has an AGP slot for future improvements on the graphics, while 841LR has the faster graphics
SiS 740, no AGP slot, and can run either SDRAM or DDR. They're both MicroATX and fit into neat small cases.

If you want to use separate graphics, I second the recommendation of K7S5A (aka M830LR). Get the version with
LAN to have your parents ready for fast internet.

Don't expect too much end user support from that group of companies though. Know your stuff, be sure all you need
is a manual, drivers and BIOS updates - because that's all there is.

I have recently built some systems using the Biostar m7vk-- series the vks can be had for around $50.00 but has no agp slot but the onboard video works pretty well. They are very stable, easy to set up and amazingly pretty fast.They will also take the newest cpu's and they come with the latest version of ghost on the install cd, that makes the board almost free.
