Looking for the best/price mobo for a Phenomx4 955

I'm sold on this CPU, but need a good mobo to go with it. I'm partial to ASUS, but open to suggestions. BTW- I keep my systems for 5+ years.

I don't have the bandwidth to really look at the website to see what they exactly have, but microcenter is having a decent sale on cpu/mobo combos right now. Might be able to catch a good deal on what you decide on there.

I have had luck with uATX based AMD boards in the last couple years. An ASUS 780GX ..GIGABYTE 790GX... and the latest MSI 890GX. It has USB 3, DDR 3, decent IGPU and offers very quality heatpipe cooling and overclocking tools. got mine free with a Fry's 1055T combo.

I decided to go with a Asus M4A87TD/USB3 870. I'm still working on what type of DDR3 to get. The G.Skill Ripsaw 4gb 1600 looks good. What do you think?

gskill ripjaws are very good ram....its compatable with most boards...

Agreed, G.Skill is good RAM and the 870 is a good choice for mobo.
