I currently have a 3870 in my system, but I have been having lots of catalyst problems. So I am wanting to go back to nvidia. I am not wanting to go over $200. I am running a Dell 2407WFP via DVI, and a 65" DLP via HDMI. I only use the DLP to watch movies and youtube every once in a while. I am not really sure what is the best bang for the buck right now.

If I were you I would spend a little more and get a 275 GTX is your best bet. For under, you have to get the 260 GTX core 216. I thnk I have seen the 275 for under 200, but can't quite remember.

GTX 275 is right around the $200 mark, else the next best card is the GTX260 (with 216 shaders) which is definitely under $200. Those are your only options for "best card under $200", unless you can find a GTX280 or 285 that low.

You sig says you had an 8800GT. Why did you switch from that to the slower HD3870?

It's possible to find GTX 275's for under $200. I got the GTX 275 FTW at compusa.com for around $190 AR.

There's also the obligatory, "If you can wait a couple of weeks, Evergreen will be announced."

Just out of curiosity, what issues did you have with the Catalyst drivers/control center?

Keep in mind that GTX 260 from BFG only has 192 SPs, so try to get the 216 version. There are a bunch of them that can be had various places for cheap, search with bing!

Hmmm didn't see that good catch.

I think he wants a HDMI connection anyway.
