damn.. I was starting to write .. and I pressed enter to change line.. and the curser thingy automatically went up to the message title form and the thread was submitted by mistake!!! :|
Anyways, I'm .... looking for a software or... a website that can convert series of English words (in correct spelling) to their phonetic symbols...(phonemes).. I suppose the symbols are not really part of English font.. so I guess only software can display those symbols.. anyways.. does anyone know anything can do this?
 
This thread is doomed. Just blank it again and start anew.

As for your question, I don't think it's possible to write an algorithm as there are too many idiosyncracies in english, in short I don't think one exists, nor do I believe that one will come around in the next few days. There is a very good tool for the task though....dictionary.com
