I have to give a 5 min presentation for a job im applying for.. I'm applying to be an SAT tutor (only for the Math section) for Kaplan cause they pay 15$ an hour.. well i made it past the initial interview and so forth and now i gotta go in and give a 5 minute presentation on anything i want to.. the goal is to show them that i can make my points clear, and make it interesting... so.. my question is, what would you choose?? here are the requirements...

HY HOLD AUDITIONS?
We seek teachers who are not only intelligent, high-level test-takers but also charismatic role models who convey material in an easy-to-understand and interesting manner. Our teachers are able to address our students' specific needs and concerns by being both knowledgeable and approachable. In order to assess these qualities in potential instructors, we hold group auditions.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE AUDITIONS?
At the auditions, you will be asked to give a five minute teaching presentation to Kaplan staff and your fellow auditioners. The presentation will be one you prepare in advance on the topic of your choice. Choose a topic that is non-academic, interesting, and interactive.

Examples of successful past auditions are "Interpreting the Label on a Bottle of Red Wine," "Make Your Own Urban Myth," and "The Ideal Prank." While our focus will not be what topic you choose, topics that are more verbally explanatory than physically demonstrative best showcase the abilities we seek to measure: namely, your skillfulness in conveying information to a group of people in a dynamic and engaging way.

HOW WILL AUDITIONS BE EVALUATED?
Auditions are evaluated using the following criteria: (1) Clarity, (2) Effectiveness, (3) Ability of presenter to create an environment of active participation, (4) Comfort level of presenter, (5) Time Management (i.e. effective completion of presentation in allotted 5 minutes). We also look for presentations to be well-structured, with distinct beginnings, middles, and endings. The relevance of your topic should be made clear to the observers you are teaching.

I'm leanin towards explanation of soccer.. or something like that.... i was thinkin about explaining the internet, haha, but i think that may be too complicated for some of the audience... what do you guys think? thanks..
