Looking for suggestions

Looking for suggestions on a motherboard and power supply for an Opteron 165. I plan on overclocking it to a modest 2.2/2.4 ghz. I am looking for the most bang for my buck. Stability is the most important thing to me. This is going to be my first build from scratch computer. I plan on upgraded the factory heatsink and fan, suggestions there will be a plus. Thank you all for your input.

I'm planning almost the same thing as you, a little bit more OC. I have found these two models, both without SLI (nForce Ultra):

Epox 9NPA+ultra
MSI Neo4 Platinum

Very good boards and stables, I was planning to buy the ASUS A8NE, but many people told me "NO!", so I am on these two. Perhaps the EPOX, there is a version without "ultra" label more cheap.

For the power supply I like the Thermaltake PurePower 680 W, a little old, but I think is the best bang for the buck, perhaps for one processor there is no need of so much power, so one with at least 500w would be ok.
