Looking for SSD under $300 and 100+ gig

there are sales every not and then... my OCZ Vertex LE 100G died recently, but I have the new RMA one.. I think currently they are 299$ @ New Egg... don't quote me though
 
For that price range I'd spend just a little more and get an OCZ Vertex 2 120GB. Newegg has them for $320. You aren't going to beat the performance of this SSD in that price range. If you like, I can provide an ATTO disk test of my Vertex 2 in a i7 930 6GB system. I'd have to provide it after I get home, though.
 
Woah 300 for a hard drive is a little pricey.

Wait til SSD does 300GB 1TB then the prices of these 200GB SSD's will go down drastically. Its still too new to get. Also as we all know the HDD is the only bottleneck for speedy rigs. I pay 300 and can't even fit my stuff on it. Ill wait until a 500GB SSD comes out for 99.99 ,, Take my word in 1 years time. Thank you

It may be worth waiting for the G3 Intel drives to come out - pricing should hopefully go down after that. If you need one right away, then I second the Vertex 2 recommendation

Seriously though, for the OP, you can generally get OCZ Agility 2 120GB drives for <$300. I own lots of SSDs and the odds of actually noticing the difference between a Vertex 2 and Agility 2 are pretty low.

Oooh, nice one. Twice the sustained write speed, just from the MLC quality? Anyway, let hope that little newcomer price pushes the Vertex 2. I wonder where Anand is, we need a regular SSD update and benchmarking for that new G.Skill offering. I'd also like to know if a lot of SandForce drives died (beside Vertex LE).
