looking for specific fan controllers

I currently have two Zalman 6-channel fan controllers and one ThermalTake Hardcano 13. I tried the Sunbeam Rheobus, but it doesn't fit in my case due to the mount sticking out towards the front (look at pic #3 in that link to see what I mean).

I don't mind the Zalman's, but I just had all of the LEDs go out on one of them, and I need something that goes from off to 12V. And the fan control on the Hardcano 13 is just about useless as far as I'm concerned...

I have 10 case fans that need to be controlled (8 of them with the range of 0-12V, two would be fine with 7-12V), as well as two CPU fans (7-12V range is fine), and possibly two other 92m fans if I can find a controller for them.

SUMMARY:
I'm looking for fan controllers that will fit in my case, and have the following specs:
8 fans @ 0-12V range
4 fans @ 7-12V range

I could easily do 3 - 4 different fan controllers, or in different combinations...

I considered something like this, but what happens to the fans before the software comes up? Do they max out, or do they idle, or stay off? I'd hate to risk critical fans on something like that. Also, the 10w max per channel might pose a bit of a risk for some of the fans... I'm definitely keeping an eye on this though. Thanks.
