We are looking to set up a small webwiz/SQL based forum and maybe some FTP space for the international service orginization of our company. I only expect maybe 100-200 users for the forum, it will not be open to the public. The FTP space would be used mainly to host software specific to our instruments. I would guess about 5-10 gb of data storage, although I couldn't begin to estimate the bandwith.
My main concern is reliability&performace over cost ( within reason of course ). So far 1&1, and Dreamhost are on the short list, but was wondering if any of the lesser known names are worth looking at. Hosting with a company is going to be there from year to year is also a concern. We dont want to be moving from host to host, this is really a side project, the less time we spend on it the better. I am also considering getting a couple domains, ideally from the same company we get to host.
Any thoughts ?
