as the title says, im looking for some good pc pranks to play on my fellow classmates. the teacher here has made me an administrator on the network, so i dont want to abuse my access too much, and i dont want to delete anything that matters to them. about the only thing i have done so far is to create a couple hundred new folders on their desktop, and that is getting kinda old. so anything that anybody suggets shouldnt be damaging. thanks

seems kind of a childish thing for an administrator to do.

i was afraid somebody would say something like that. thats not at all how i intend it to be taken. we all enjoy a good laugh every now and then, and when it comes down to it, im a very responsable person (perhaps not the best speller, though). ive never done anything to cast any doubt with my highly respected teacher as to whether or not he can trust me or not. so thank you for the concern, but in this case, it is misplaced

Looks like somebody doesn't know how to have fun :p

jimbob200521, you could try changing the M an N keys and wait for the next nailing list. Also you could switch the 789 and 123 rows in the number pad. Or add some intersting autocorrect entires in Word.

take a floppy and bend the bottom part of the metal up slightly, they will have fun getting it out.

Put a keystroke logger on the computers and have the logs sent discretely to an email account. Then let the fun begin!

find out what their favorit site is when they surf.

then go to that site, copy the main index.html, deface it, copy it to another computer in the room running iis(?).

add that address in as a route back to itself. so that when they try to surf to that site, they'll hit the copy you made on that computer.... (require you to have some knowledge in setting a computer up as a web host..etc)

---example

my co-worker loves to surf mustang forums. so I copied the main page that site and defaced it with a fake hacking group called "jap-hack" and changed all the links to gay porno sex sites (i guess the site name by being creative).

so when my co-worker tried to go to that site, he's actually surfing to another computer in our room with that site. he then went to all the other mustang forum sites to post about how his first favorite site was hacked.

hilarity ensue, as others on those forums could still access the original site. he didn't find out until someone ask him to post the ip address of the site when he pings it.

VNC is the shizz. we run it (legitimately) on the computers we service, and its funny what you can do with it.

If the lab is XP, using the remote tool-thingy (argggh! whats the name of it?), well anyways, the tool that allows you to remotely control another computer, like a terminal. If you have admin rights, then you should be able to run it.

Net send /domain "message" in the comand prompt works good too.

Shut down is a command you need to ultilize also. ;)

We also used to write batch files to spam-ping peoples computers (useful for crashing the CS servers at LAN parties).

Set the homepage to hardcore- goat pr0n.

Any one still use back-orfice?

I wonder if anyone has written a program to reverse the mouse axis... that could be fun. Set it up so if you hit a couple keys it will go back to normal for a few seconds
"Huh... it seems to work fine for me" :p

cant do any remote clients here. our teach already has radmin, realvnc, and netops installed and they can only be accessed under a different admin username and pword than i have.

go to the command prompt "cmd" and type (minus the quotes, obviously) "net send /domain [your message here]". It'll pop up on every computer in the domain.

Netsend...isnt that just from the command prompt? Been a while since I did any of that. Quit a lot of fun though. Esp. for people who know nothing of computers to see a message pop up that says it will do something like explode if they hit another key.
