looking for some fun gamecube games

i just bought a gamecube for my fiancee for christmas and now i'm looking for some games that we might enjoy. are there any games that are like super mario world for GC?

check out the player's choice series, most are good games. mario sunshine is kind of like mario world I guess, takes a while to adjust to the 3D though I'm sure. i really like mario golf, even though i don't really like golf games, but this one is simple to play. zelda and metroid are good also.

I went with my GF to visit a couple of friends, and they had a GC, we were all sitting down having a great time playing Burnout 2/3, as well as Super Monkey Ball 1/2 🙂

The Cube games that I currently own (and all are great - I don't buy so-so games) are The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (one of the best games I have ever played), Super Smash Bros: Melee, SSX Tricky and SSX 3 (3 is incredible), Metroid Prime, The Zelda Collectors edition (for the old school loving), Eternal Darkness (great adventure game), Soul Calibur II (smooth fighting but I liked the original a bit better - long live DC), Super Monkey Ball 2, and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (solid remake of the original). There are other great cube games, but not having played them I can't speak for them.

I just got my GC recently with the Mario Kart game. Very fun. I am currently playing Metroid Prime 1. I still have Zelda Wind Waker/Mario Golf, and Smash Bros Melee. I'm hoping to get SSX3 and F-Zero GX and maybe NFSU2. All my game were < $15 so far.

There are a few more, but those are the ones i can think of on top of my head.

Look into the greatest hits list ... They're still good despite being "old" ,p

I'll add Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance for a multiplayer game with 2 people - fun hack n slash.
