Looking for some advice

My mother-in-law is looking for a printer that she can use to print her photos that she took with her digital camera. Doesn't need to be pro level, just something nice that will print good quality phots, is easy to use, and is relatively inexpensive (I know I'm asking alot).

Any suggestions for a brand/model number?

Thanks,

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that pretty much all printers can do decent photos these days. Even the base HP models for under $40 have the 4800x1200DPI.

I've had great luck with HP printers, though the ink is quite expensive. The reason the ink is expensive is because you get a new print head with the new ink cartridge.

I've heard some great things about the new Canon printers. They are in the same price range as the HPs. You don't get a new print head with ink cartidges, so the refills are cheaper, however you don't have a new print head, so you may have to waste ink cleaning it.

I'm going to recommend an HP.

As for model, well it depends on your budget. If you only do a small amount of printing there is no reason to spend a lot on a fast one.
