Looking for software to perform same function as http://www.anonymizer.com

I'm looking for a piece of software that I can run server-side that will allow remote clients to connect to it via their web browser, and be presented with a prompt to enter a URL. From there, the software will take them to the URL, but will be connecting with the server's IP connection and not directly from the client's connection. Basically, it will perform like http://www.anonymizer.com, except that I'll be the one running the server piece of it.

I'm having difficulty finding any information on this, because frankly, I don't know what to search on. If anyone knows of a piece of software that can do this, please let me know. I can run it either on a Microsoft or Linux platform, so that may open the field a little. Also, I would prefer some type of user authentication be performed before surfing is allowed.

I think anonamizer is a proxy server. There is free proxy software available such as proxomitron, but I don't think that paticular one will run as a remote server. You should be able to find a free proxy program for both windows and linux that will do what you want.

So far, all the proxy software I have found will only work if you change the remote browser to point to the proxy server. I just want it set up so that it presents the user with a web page asking for an address, and it takes them there. It would still be a proxy server, but it wouldn't require any client changes.

Does anyone know of such a beast?

I believe you're looking for something like Triangle Boy. It's used by some organizations to bypass a lot of filters other Internet censors and blocks - Take China, and their big web filter. This walks right through it. I've eval'ed Safeweb's other product and it's really very cool.
