Looking for small business ideas

The wife and I have been thinking about starting some kind of a small business. We're still doing the real estate investing but it would be great to have something else to fall back on. I think the most preferable business would be one that does'nt require the owner to be there all day. Something like a barbershop, a Subway/Quizno franchise, Currency Exchange or something similar.

I think a lot of restraunts would be out of the question unless you have lots of money to spend. If you dont want to be there all day you are going to need trusted people to manage and keep track of money.
