Title says it all, I want to upload all of my digital photos and video sfor off site storage...to the tune of 70 gb's...or so...

Can anyone give me some recommendations? I glanced at Amazon's services and was looking for feedback on costs and functionality.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Lee

I love crashplan, and I even use it to backup to other locations using the "backup to friend's computer feature", but be sure that you have backups yourself. Not every cloud solution is 100%

I also love Crashplan including the myriad of free and paid backup choices they offer.

Hopefully they'll offer another Black Friday sale this year.

Those stories sound like a REAL headache!

Does Amazon offer a similar service that anyone is aware of?

What kind of internet connection do you have? Going to take forever to upload all that. You are better off throwing it on a separate hard drive and getting a lock box at the post office or something.

I thought about that too...maybe that is the better option...IDK

I have the files currently backed up on three devices

1. home PC H.D.
2. 2 drive RAID 1 NAS
3. External drive that is only plugged in when syncing...but I would still like to get something off site that is maintainable once the bulk upload is done...and reliable...

When using the cloud is it preferable to have encrypted zip files (i.e zip a month or year of 'files') or leave it to be individual files unencrypted?
