Hi,
I notice that my CPU's fan makes too much of noise and I would like to replace it by a third party heat sink and quiet fan. Here is my system specs:

AMD64 3500+ Winchester with stock fan and heat sink
MSI K8N Neo2 Plat

I am thinking of using the XP-90 heat sink from ThermalTake. Any suggestion for a quiet fan? I need something that is quiet yet blows a good amount of air. Thank you in advance!

Check out my main rig.

Edit: The XP-90 is from Thermalright. Big difference.

The Zalman HSF's are awesome, and very quiet. They also come with a Fan Speed controller to slow it down if you like, or run it at full speed. Its kind of ghey though, and you might want an external FSC, but it works nonetheless.

If your going with the XP-90, then I suggest getting a Panflo fan for it. FrozenCPU carries them, just don't forget to add a tail for $1.00 or whatever they charge.

Good advice, but know that not all Panaflo fans are the same. There high, mid, and low flow models. The lows are pretty quiet (that's what I use) and the highs are a bit louder.

Also, 120mm are quieter than 92mm are quieter than 80mm.

I think Jab-tech.com ships to Canada. That's where I bought Panaflo fans in the past.
