Ok, I'm moving out into a new apartment and since Davis water is pretty horrid and I'm too poor to buy bottled water, I'm gonna get one of these and one of these..

That'll provide me with filtered hot and cold water whenever I want. The thing is, I haven't been able to find something that doesn't look like bland crap out of a black and white movie. I'm aware of that brushed aluminum one, but thats way out of my price range and is full sized. I would like to get something that'll go on a counter-top.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Why don't you get some copper colored spray paint and fix it up yourself? Might be able to make it look pretty swanky.

I'm a lazy ass, thats why! Well, the real reason is... I'm lazy. Besides, I'd rather get dyed plastic and risk permanently messing up my water dispenser with paint.

Water isn't that expensive, only $.30 a gallon to refill at Safeway.

There's a black dispenser at Costco that looks really nice, forgot how much it is.

Plus your ebay link says it's open-box (ewww) and it doesn't do cold water (only room temp).

Well, it was just an example. Of course I'll be getting a new one that'll do hot and cold water.

Did the one at costco look like this? Its 200 with a 40 rebate, but a little much for me, and is still free standing. Living in a one bedroom apartment, it needs to be countertop to save me some room. If only they made a countertop version of that for a hundred bucks. :)

Methinks you need to get out more if you're worrying about whether your water dispenser is "bland". ;)
