Looking for NIN'esque mixes

I'm not a huge fan of techno music in general but I love all of NIN's remixes. Are there any bands comparable to this kind of music? Nobody can really touch his actual music but his mixes are pretty good, so there might be more people in this 'genre'.

Anything off of 'Closer to God', 'March of the Pigs', 'The Perfect Drug' and all of those are just awesome if you're looking for some specific stuff. Thanks for any replies.

There is a relatively unknown industrial band, the Kidney Thieves, and they are awesome. Their song "Before I'm Dead" is on the Queen of the Damned Soundtrack (last song played in the movie) and they are having 4 or 5 songs featured in the new Dues Ex game as well as the bands lead singer is doing some voice talent work for the game too (not sure exactly what though).

NIN? Techno?

There were a few tribute cds out there for NIN. They were pretty good.

Not really techno, but I'm not sure how to categorize it. Do you know who did the tributes or was it a compilation disc?

The remix CDs don't always sound like the actual songs, although a few tracks usually do. So it's not the typical NIN type stuff. I already have all the Halos already anyways 😉

Someone gave me mp3s of their cd. I went out the next week and found the cd in the store and bought it.

I've heard some of the remixes live, can't complain 😉 I think I may be missing one or two of the Halos, can't remember...

bump for the morning crew.

I checked out KidneyThieves LethalWolfe, they're good but I'm looking for something without a main vocal presence throughout it. I'm definitely going to see if I can get some of their CDs though 🙂

Any more ideas guys?

My friend said he was largely influenced by Trent Reznor. His original songs are pretty good, but his remixes I think are terrible. Check him out at Choatica he has a lot of free downloads, well at least he did last time I visited his site.

BTW I think it is an awesome looking site, so for no other reason just check out his webpage!

Trent I think is more border line techno. However I remember hearing a few of his songs on movie sound tracks that where really good.

I just picked up one of those re-done NIN mixes, I'll send it to you when I get home. AIM:unionworker16 .
