Looking for NIC that can handle high PCI speeds (42mhz+)...

I have this Kingston (Intel based) NIC now from my cable service provider, and it seems to act funny at these high bus speeds. I am running my FSB @ 166mhz now, and my PCI bus @ 42mhz. I had heard there was an Intel NIC that could handle high PCI speeds because it is designed to work in the newer 66mhz PCI slots. Anyone know the one I am looking for or have any suggestions..? Thanks in advance..

Ok, I can't answer your last question, but I feel obligated to let you know that in MY experience (not necessarily anyone else's), cheap cards have worked the best for whatever reason. I had an SMC card running at 50Mhz no prob, my 3Com bombed at 40Mhz...

I've had Intel Pro 100 NIC's running at speeds of 44 MHz with no problem. Linksys would act like the cable was disconnected at anything higher than 38.

Cheers!

Intel Pro100 after 40mhz, issues with Linksys after 40 here, but that was last summer when I was running the PCI slots that high in some BX based systems.
