Need some recommendations with these specifics in mind and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Sturdy

No more then $150.

Storage Type-Flash memory

Highest Optical Zoom Possible

LCD Size-Does not matter

A/V Connetions-Just USB to connect to computer.

Image Sensor-I am not the most savvy at cameras but I believe that the larger the sensor the more light it can take it which is better correct? If that is the case I would like to go with the largest possible for the price range.

For the price? Not much.

Most of them will be cute little deck-o-card cameras, probably without a flip-out screen and likely without many options.
In that price range I honestly dont know which brand is best, but I do know CNET gives quality reviews.

Assuming this works, these are the cameras you want to investigate. Dont balk at the price, if you dig around online you can probably find most of those $195 jobs for less than 150.

Yeah I'd focus on getting a menu system you like, and a camera whose ergonomics and style you like. IQ isn't going to change drastically between the cams at the price point you want. It is all pretty much the same.
