Looking for Mustang pictures. Need pre-94, and 94-98 for all (hard top) models.

Not much of a Mustang guy in the last 20 years (Love the GT500 and the Boss 302 though ;))

But I'm curious.
What Models of Mustangs were there in the up to 93 body style, and 94-98 body style?

LX? GT? Cobra? Could I get some pics of them.
Anything from 88 (I think the body style was 88-93 wasn't it?) and up in any model along with what model it is please :)

Only looking at hard tops, and I don't need the newest body style, I know what the 99+ ones look like.

Also did the 94-98 style have the 5.0L or the 4.6L?

Boss model(Mid 90's edition) was introduced by the late Harry Shinoda (I think late)
A designer.
It was not an actual "Ford" model "per se"
Compare it in contrast with a Saleen or Steeda
although in reality there is no comparison, Saleen makes some AWESOME cars if you can afford them,
as for STEEDA, I hope one day to own one, they are the underdog of the "Ford" aftermarket world and a force to be reckoned with at the track, especially at Moroso in Palm Beach, FL.
Saleen
Steeda
Oh and I almost forgot Roush, but to tell you the truth, every Mustang Show I have been at, has had a couple Roush Mustangs, but they only had the Body kit, no cool Roush intake or anything, pretty lame.
There is a guy here in town who has a 95 cobra "R" model, he pulled the 351 and put a stroker motor in it, and some ugly a$$ stickers on the fenders, I think he screwed the car up, but that's me.
<end of useless info>

The 5.0 SN95 Cobras are way too slow - the 4.6 is a lot better in that application - they barely break 15's stock

BTW, wasn't there in 96 a Mystic version of the Cobra?

fc - yea I'm a little disappointed in the Rousch Mustangs. Only the Stage III has "performance" mods, but in the 2001s, it only gets the car down to the low low 13's. (A friend has a Stage II GT and I really don't think a body kit and dual side exhausts make the car worth the $42k he spent on it)

ya 96 mystic cobra
also the 96 up cobra had the new 32 valve 4.6
thx raginB

well SN95 also depended on what gears you got
I had 3.73's in my 95 GT
and a Paxton SC
15's sure I could do that,
13's sure I could do that,
Trade it in for wife's new Honda,
sure I had to do that.

All those tuner Mustangs are overrated. Take a 96-98 Cobra and drop the same amount of money you'd spend on a new Roush Stage III and you'll have a car that walks over Vipers and P-cars.

That Roush Stage 3 comes in at 48,975. Pick up the Cobra for 17-20k, leaves you 28k to throw into the car... either way you go, you just have a souped up Fairmont.
;)

For pictures, go to www.corral.net, click on "Readers Rides" down in the bottom frame then go look through.. Everything under the sun.

<< What's better for the 88-93 the GT or the LX? >>

Since you can get the 5.0 in the LX, the LX. The GT is theoretically better, cost more from the factory, but the LX is lighter and should handle a little bit better.

What are the differences between a 5.0 LX and a GT?

Mainly body style I believe.

What are ground effects anyways?

I heard that as a difference between two other cars the other day to, and I don't know what the hell they are.

Just cladding on the lower part of the car.. Extra/different body panels added/changed on the car to make it look better.

The trunk on the LX and GT is different. The LX is referred to as a notchback, I think the GT is a coupe or something. Not up on my Mustang terminology.

Look around corral.net like I said above, you can find pictures of all sorts of Mustangs and the appearance difference should be obvious.

82-86 had the same body style, it was just slightly refined in '87. 82-86 had the indented headlights like the early 90's camaro's do.
87-93 had the same body style with the 5.0 engine
94-95 also had the 5.0 but the new body style
93 was the first year of the cobra, and this year cobra is next to impossible to find, plus the blue book on it is $11k...i'd love to have a '93 cobra, there badass.
the lx is considerably lighter than the GT from 87-93
the lx coupe(trunk car) is also lighter than the lx hatchback. :)

anyone who is serious about having a fast stang gets the lx coupe.

mustangworld.com has hundreds of mustang pics

I'm probably buying myself one in the next month or two....i'm currently looking at a '92 lx 5.0 hatch. It's just hard to find one that's a 5spd and in good shape. :) I'd recommend getting a '87-93 gt or lx 5.0. I want a gt just because i'm not a speed freak and i like how it looks better, but then again it has to be a manual and those are hard to find. I'll buy the first manual 5.0 i can find that's in good shape.
