looking for mp3/video player

Not my area of expertise,... I prefer listening to my music on my desktop and such,... but I have a young daughter who wants and Ipod (That I cannot afford),...so I am looking for help on what is similar that can play mp3 music, typical video format, jpg still images,...

I don't care about internal memory as much (2gb is fine, more is good of course), but would like to have a slot for micro sd as I have lots of those from my digital cameras/camcorders,...

Any suggestions? Ranking of ones to look for that fit the bill,... as I will keep an eye on those and see what sales happen over next couple of weeks,...
 
Creative Zen? Those are pretty good. They have SDHC slots, but for some stupid reason the music on the sd card isn't incorporated into the library. There could be an update to fix that in the future...who knows.

If you don't need a new one, I would recommend a Gigabeat F series with Rockbox, but since it's for your kid, I guess that's probably not that feasible, since it would be a bit more complex.
