I like these, the only thing is that I don't see the DV at the front before I see another character infront of the R, one of the dangers of having words on their side is that they can be difficult to read, especially playing with positve and negative space.

Nice though!

edit - I'm not trying to be critical - just keep in mind that we have all seen the words together before, and for someone who hasn't seen DV Rebel might not recognize it, especially if it's played for a few seconds on video.

nah, I'm always up for suggestions. I didn't really think identifying the dv would be a problem since I don't know any letters shaped like that... it would probably be more clear if I didn't have the d go all the way to the top of the r though. I don't know. I'll try some more variations later if necessary (yeah, I know I'm lazy), but this should give him an idea for now.

Yes I know what you mean, you wouldn't think people would have trouble identifying the DV. It's one thing that they have ground into my department that vertical letters are to be dealt with very carefully, because frankly a lot of people arn't that bright. I don't think you have much to worry about, but it's still something to keep in mind.
