So I've come to the conclusion that my current motherboard is schizo and I'm in the market for something new.

Guidelines:
Cost between 100-150ish dollars.
Supports DDR2 RAM (shouldn't be an issue I'm sure)
Not a Gigabyte (not too pleased with the issues i've been seeing regarding their boards lately)
Solid overclocker
SLI is not a concern

I'm assuming it's going to be something in the P35 or P45 family but I've not really kept up with hardware lately so I'm not sure. I read in another thread about the MSI Neo3HR I think which may be an option. I don't necessarily want a totally stripped bare motherboard, just cost effective solid overclocking option like this board was a year and a half ago.

Also would prefer not to have to perform immediate bios flashes etc, I am extremely leery of flashing Bios'.

Hi mate....I'm having no issues with my Abit IP35, this is the single graphic slot version, 6 SATA incl RAID 5, easy OC options, heat-pipes for NB, HS for ICH9R. Currently running 9x334 with just 1 step on cpuV = 1.325

Good luck....

Bumping this for more input. I should add that I will be adding an E7200 CPU to it a month or two down the road, and would like to have compatibility out of the box rather than having to flash the bios for it. Not sure it's an issue at this point or not but as you can tell I really don't like messing with Bios beyond OC settings.

If you're leary of bios flashes, look at the P35's. The P45 is is still maturing and that means bios upgrades will be certain.

Because the x38 had a glut of good reviews and seems to be a bit more established. Plus I honestly didn't see the x48. What's the difference? There must be a reason why it's cheaper.

RampageIts the same board as the Rampage board read those reviews, its cheaper because people have no clue and are not buying it. plus most people are buying p45s. compare the two boards for yourself, the reason the X38 board is $10 more is only because the reviews, its also the same as the Rampage. so all three boards are the same thing with the rampage having 1 more Lan and better NB heatsinks thats it, you can use the Rampage bios in bothe the P5E X38 and P5E X48.
