Let me say it a little better.

Its not that the singer has a terrible voice, he just doesnt keep his shit together, hes all over the place and doesnt know the words. He needs to focus and work on a real performance and stop the theatrics, hes obviously not to the level of a pro band yet so he needs to quit with the artsy crap and work on being a solid lead singer.

You as a drummer are falling behind in beat and then playing catch up to the rest of the band, this isnt how it works, they need to take timing from you. If they get off beat, they need to look to you to get back on, not the other way around. If it isnt done like this you end up with everyone trying to look to someone else to get correct beat, this ends up with the mess i just saw.

Other than that, you dont play the exact parts for your instrument, Im not sure if this is on purpose to make it a little easier or if you just dont have the song fleshed out, or if you were just doing your own thing, again not trying to be harsh, just giving an honest opinion.

Less talk, more rock.
Was that the first song? It was 2 1/2 minutes in and the song still really hadn't taken off yet. Zzzzzz. I say this as a big fan of live music, just come out, count off, and hit it! Think MC5, Kick Out The Jams. Let the music do the talkin'.

I agree, and yes that was the first song. This was after waiting about 10 minutes for the fair's sound guys to finish their setup and testing. Fortunately most of the other songs songs started w/o delay

Most of that was lack of practice. Bullet was the weakest of our songs and started to really fall apart near the middle through the end. We simply hadn't practiced it enough. Also I hadn't even met the bassist until that morning though he had played with the others a few times. We were only able to get in a few hours before leaving for the fair. It showed in the (or lack of) performance.
