Looking for information on a particular RAIDMAX case/psu

I went and purchased a case+psu over at Fry's last Friday. The model number on the box says it's a ATX368BP, but the rebate receipt added a W to make it a ATX368WBP. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on the case.

Did I buy a knock off? Is it a discontinued and unreviewed model? It's not nearly as flashy as some of the other RAIDMAX cases out there, but it's got a nice LED display on the front, 4 8CM fans and a 450W PSU.

The model # on the PSU is KY-550ATX

(edited to fix "case+psu" - I'm asking about the case and power, not a processor ;))

you might want to take a pic of the case. raidmax doesn't have atx-368bp... Might be atx-268.

Looks downrigt sedate for a Raidmax. ;) But look at the net weight with a 450W PSU... 5.9kg=flimsy. Now that's typical Raidmax. The W is for window - if it doesn't have a window then you have the BP. Look at the 811BP and/or the 268WBP on newegg. Doesn't that display look familiar - or the internal design of the 268? May be a special for some company - Fry's is definitely big enough to buy 'em by the container load so they can have an exclusive model... But then, who'd want an exclusive on a Raidmax.?. ;)
. I think Fry's/Oupost even uses a different mfr's name on their RaidMaxes - note that they don't even print the Raid part on the box. Yup, Raidmax goes by Fudin over there???

It's interesting that you mention Fudin, because that's the recipient company name to which I'm supposed to send my rebate application, UPC and receipt.

The PSU checks out as being a pretty decent one. How would you evaluate the expected performance of this case and PSU based on Raidmax/Fudin's history and quality?

Power Output:

+3.3V +5V +12V -5V -12V +5Vsb
28.0A 34.0A 14.0A 0.5A 0.8A 2.0A

14.0 amps on the 12volt rail! That sucks!

Get something decent, Enermax or Fortron etc.

heh that case I have no idea anymore. Raidmax's site doesn't have one. Imported? or Outdated?

The PSU is OK for older mobos that rely on the +5 rail but not for newer ones that rely heavily on the +12V rail. For newer mobos you'd expect around 25 or so Amps on the +12 in a 450W PSU and maybe 25A on the +5. For each 5A increase on the +12 rail, you lose more than 12A between the 5 and 3.3 rails

OK, I'm showing my newb stripes here. Please don't devour the zebra.

Rails?

Please be gentle. The last time I built a system from scratch, 3Dfx was just beginning to lose ground as a video card manufacturer.

Rails refers to the different "voltage lines" on the PSU. Some "rails" carry 12volts, others 5 volts or 3.3volts.

Fern, the amperage you have must be from a different revision. Looking at the PSU right next to me:

+3.3v: 28.0A
+5v: 34.0A
+12v: 22.0A
-5v: 0.5A
-12v: 0.8A
+5Vsb: 2.0A
