Question Looking for info on old AMD Radeon DVI to HDMI dongle

QueBert

Lifer
I have a 4000 series card I want to put back in my system because of card prices. I use to have a HIS HHDMI4071 dongle, which I'm Googling and it's not in stock anywhere. The only one I'm finding is the other AMD one, which I bought ages ago and it doesn't support audio on 4000 cards. Now I know there are other dvi to hdmi adapters out there, but would any give me sound?

Thanks for the link, I have that one (somewhere in a box) audio only works on 2000/3000 series cards. Of course of the 2 dongles that AMD makes I can only find the one that won't work for me, what luck lol.

I have one (the same HIS part) that came with my HD 4650 GPU. Will the audio work with any card or just the Radeon 4000 series, I wonder?
