Looking for heatsink suggestions...

OK...I'll soon be getting an AMD XP 3000 400 fsb processor, and am looking for suggestions on a new heatsink...noise is a consideration, so I would be using an 80mm High Output Panaflo fan. I can get a 92 mm panaflo if this would provide sufficient cooling and fit the heatsink. Also, I need one that does not need mounting holes, as my board (Soyo KT600 Plus v1.0) does not have them. My case is a Lian-Li PC61 w/top blowhole, and fans in the side panel for the CPU and AGP/PCI areas. Thanks for any suggestions.

Right now, I have a thermalright SK-7 w/ an 80 mm Panaflo High Output on an XP1900 w/ ASII...I will be getting AS5 when I get the new processor.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for brands of RAM, I will be looking for that soon also...time to move beyond PC2100!

I was going to recommend the same one you are already using...

I don't know too many good ones for 80mm fan.

EDIT:

as for the memory... I whole heartedly recommend Kingston Hyper-X as the best bang for buck high performance RAM.

Your SK7 will do just fine. If you really want to spend the money pick up an SLK900A, but you will only see a few degrees differences, nothing significant.

As for RAM, are you looking to overclock? I am very happy with my Corsair, but it is just too expensive compared to what is around now. There have been really good deals on Kingston Hyper X lately. Buffalo PC3200 from Newegg is supposedly decent as well and is a bit cheaper.

Thanks for the tips...maybe I will stick with my SK7 with some AS5. BG...I've been looking at the Kingston Hyper X...I've heard good things about it, and I'm not really looking to over clock. Thanks again.
