Hi,

I'm trying to partition my Hardrive as windows has become rather unstable. I want to create a partition to put my music and other selected files onto then wipe the windows partition and reinstall fresh. I used powerquest partition magic 8.0, but every time i try to create a parition using the program it say upon restarting 'error, too many errors, aborting' so i cant use it. Can anyone recomend a good 3rd party free partition software that is easy to use?

Thanks.

Have you run scan disk on the disk before attempting to partition it? An older version of PartitionMagic maybe? (fvcking Norton effed up PM with 8.0, I like 7.0 and under).

I know of nothing free that can resize NTFS partitions. If there is I would like to know too.

Yeah my disk is nice 'n' healthy. You're right about those punks at Norton 'effing' it up. You any idea where i can get 7.0 or under? the only places i can think of is bit torrent or a p2p program, but considering partitioning puts so much data at risk, i dont know wether its worth dling a potentially unstable program.
