I have a strong background in perl, php, and java (The main focus of my career). I want to start a private project for my iphone. However I need to get my objective-C up to snuff. My main c and c++ experience was about 10 years ago as course requirements.

I'm looking for a good tutorial that starts from scratch. So far all the ones I've seen expect you to have indepth c knowledge. My experience in C is fairly basic, but rather then brush up my C then learn obj-c, I figure there must be a way to do both at the same time.

Any book or website suggestions?

I found this http://developer.apple.com/doc...uid/TP30001163-CH1-SW2

which is helping me get a good grasp as well. Thanks for the link I'll check it out. Unfortunately I want to write for the iphone, so i'm going to have to get a firm grasp of it. I originally abandoned trying to learn obj-c when I got my mac, deciding instead to use ruby as a means of writing osx applications. I can see now this was a mistake. Which sucks because I'm about halfway though a personal project of mine. Had I started with obj-c I would already have a leg up on working on this iphone app that I have in mind.
