Lots of good suggestions already, but so far no one has mentioned Brazil.

Awesome. On that note I will recommend The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

That's not even out yet in most countries - coming to US in December.

This... previews looked cool so I watched... at the end, while entertained, we had a HUGE wtf moment.

it's such an enjoyable WTF feeling too. 🙂
I've watched that movie many times. Very enjoyable to watch on Blu-ray.

Actually, I got obsessed over the movie for awhile. Really good story, and a lot of different interpretations you can have, based on how WTF you want it to be for you. It can also be a very simple ending if you care to boil it down that way.

Freak 😛

Brazil (one of my favorite movies ever)
The City of Lost Children
Tetsuo The Iron Man
Man Bites Dog
Mulholland Drive
Lost Highway
Eraserhead

Wow, this thread has been subscribed. I haven't seen many of the movies suggested here. I really want to watch Primer. I enjoyed Memento quite a bit. The protagonist's condition is very real, and the movie was actually used as an example in my psych courses in college.

LOL My psych teacher would lick gum stuck to the floor as examples....

Yep, but I really liked it and I recommend it for when it comes out.

Lots of good ones already mentioned.

Fight Club
Event Horizon
Sphere
Brazil

Not sure if 2001 or Clockwork Orange fit into the above though.

The Prestige. Maybe it's not quite a mindfuck, but it has a great plot and it's directed by the same guy who did Memento.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Das Boot
Groundhog Day
Dune, the 1984 release, for those who don't know it's a David Lynch movie
Koyaanisqatsi, but read a description before you watch it. You can find it on YouTube, but it would lose a lot in that format.

Heavy Metal is spotty, but some parts are really good, like the bomber sequence. Time Bandits and Rashomon were not entertaining to me in the normal way, but I guess I found them interesting and stimulating, so, worth watching at least once.

I guess I'll be watching a lot of movies pretty soon.. Watching Blue Velvet... Idk if it's a mindfuck or anything, but it's not a bad movie so far. (1 hour in)
