Looking for good HD diagnostic program

I think one of my hard drives is crapping out on me. I get strange reboots overnight and an error about the hd and it hangs on the bios screen. I've run WD program...it finds nothing.

Is there any other programs out there that work better?

did you google the error message? usualy the manufacturer's test is the best :-\ sorry i dont have any better suggestions.
 
You can try S.M.A.R.T. (just google for it), but if WD Lifegaurd doesn't find anything wrong, then it's most likely not your HD.
