Looking for glowing air flow testing item

Hi all. I heard about this at one time but I don't remember where or the details. (darn this old age) Let me explain basically what this is.

The item I'm looking for is a type of smoke stick. What you do is you light the stick, which looks like a piece of incense, and you put it near one of your air intakes, or any point on your case where air is supposed to be flowing inward. Now, using a black light, supposidly the smoke glows a brilliant floresent green showing you where the air flowing into your case at one point is also flowing out of your case at another point.

Kind of a way to prove how effective your case cooling and airflow is. The smoke is supposed to be totally harmless to your system, and will mostly flow through your system without sticking to anything or negatively affecting it. A small amount of the smoke will cling to some of the parts and pieces that it passes (less will stick than you think. even less will stick than will in the case of dust or cigarette smoke, and it's about 200% less harmful) allowing you to pop the cover off the case, and using the blacklight, see where the majority of the air passed through to help you detect dead spots in your case.

Does anyone know where I could find this stuff? I used it at one time years ago to test the airflow on something I was working on and it worked great. But now I can't find it and nobody has a clue what I'm talking about. Can anyone help me?

If your case was empty Id suggest baby powder....I believe it works well with blacklight. A little baby powder does go a long way and can be easily sucked off with one of those tiny vaccums??

Just a thought if you cant find that special smoke.

Yeah, cause I'd really like to use it to find out how well my airflow works now. I don't think it's specifically designed for use in computers, but it is electronics friendly.

I just wish someone had seen something like this. I hope I described it right.

Right, but will the smoke from the incense actually glow under a black light? That's the key here. Cause once all that smoke has bounced around in your case for a while, it's very unlikely that it will be very easy to see coming out the other side without the aid of some form of florecent material.

*shrug* I'd like to know too, but for the most part, cigarette smoke does me just fine :D It gets spit back out the back of my case so quickly I highly doubt it even makes a difference.
