Hi,
I am searching for this mobo's manual - Gainward 6VBA-133a . I got this board but it will not boot. There is power to the fans but no boot or beeps. There are many jumpers on the board, some I'm not sure what they are. So I thought perhaps reading the manual will help. Unfortunately Gainward no longer supports their boards. My email to them was answered by " we no longer have this manual in soft" I have been waiting a month for them to find a manual . I have searched the net extensively and could not find it. If anyone has this manual I will be greatful.
Thanks,
Eran

Funny, but you're right. There aren't a lot of manuals floating around for this board. As a matter of fact there wasn't much at all about it on the net. It was Anandtech that had the most info, and that was a REVIEW and a jumbo sized PICTURE. The picture shows a lot of documentation on the board itself, so all I can sugeest is to go over all of the silk-screened jumper settings with a fine tooth comb.

Good luck.

EDIT: HERE is the download page for the BIOS. I read on line that this board supports up to a 700MHz chip. Maybe a BIOS upgrade (using a sub 700MHz processor to do it) with help if you are using a fast processor.

It does sound very much like a CPU compatibility problem or a bad cpu.
Hope it's the prior mentioned.

Thanks for answering. I'm trying to use a P3 450 which works on another board (so do the memory chips and video card). All I get is power - so no way to try the BIOS update. The board was DOA , and my only hope was that it's a jumper problem. I was hoping that someone who owns this board would read this and reply.
Thanks again for your help
