looking for flashy ram

I currently have 2 gigs of Crucial special Newegg edition memory. It has LEDs and looks pretty slick over normal ram. But they don't offer it any more. I wanted to go with Corsair XMS Xpert but it's expensive, hard to find, and only seems to comes in 1 gig sticks. With how big the sticks are I doubt I could fit 4 on my MB. And even if I could it's retardly expensive the few places I'm seeing it.

I could go with Ballistix's, or the Corsair XMS TwinX. But what else is out there? I'd looking for a 2x2 DDR2 kit. I'm sort of leaning towards the TwinX right now but curious about other gimmicky memory options out there I don't know about

Ballistix Tracer, Teem Xtreem has silver/chrome heatspreaders but no LED's.

Get the G.Skill PI Silver or Black.
They're full of bling and are rated at 1.8-1.9v :thumbsup:

Or you could save $$ on the memory and bling out your case with an OCZ Memory Cooler (blue LED fans)

I personally like the g Skill PI black that Blain mentioned,... but to me that is not bling,.. just understated quality!!! I guess some might think it is bling,... but that goes back to my first point,...

forgot I had started this tread ha, well I looked at the links the G.Skill is nice looking but lacks LEDs. the one Scruffpup linked is very interesting, no heatspreader but it's black and has LEDs which are both things I'd like. I'm not OC'ing and might not ever so I don't need the most rock solid OC'able memory out there. Price isn't too bad. Thanks for the link I didn't come across that when I was searching Newegg last week. Maybe I'll dump the 2 gigs I have and replace it with 2x2 and have 4 of the same memory.

The tracers indeed have lots of bling if it's your thing.

Here's 8GB worth on a DFI UTX48 board that I recorded last summer. That was before they burned up - three times in a row! :|

that's nice! I just thought about it my builds color scheme is going to be black & green, now I should look for Mem with green LEDs *siigh* I just just buy a $50 case without a window get no bling components and call it a day.
