how is a federal LEO allowed to marry people? as i understand it, the person officiating has to be a JP or licensed minister.

😕

Google for the Universal Life Church. Anyone can become a member through their web site and it is a small step from there to be legally empowered to officiate at weddings. A friend of mine did it for another friend of mine. Completely legal, straightforward, and CHEAP.

The problem is the original Judge that was going to perform the ceremony has conference during that week. So does her fellow colleague, so almost alot of people wont be around for this process... and friends are not religious so they can't get a Priest or goto a church..
What the fvck does the CIA or FBI have to do with this?

Have a swat team bust into your house and marry them. That'd be awesome.
That would be a ... "memorable"... wedding ceremony indeed, wouldn't it? But what if it gave your wife PTSD for years afterwards? I don't think that I would risk it.

Awww crap, I read through the whole thing 🙁

I think that color coding idea in forum issues is a good idea. I'm no good at remembering to look at post dates.

You don't have to be religious to marry at a church.

I guess the implication is that they are anti-religion or something.
