looking for DVD burner

I am looking for a new DVD burner (actually my mom is) she just wants soemthing that works well but is not total crap for a cheap price. So if anyone can suggest something it would be appreciated.

If she wants one of the latest models, yes NEC is cheap and has most of the features available. Pioneer costs more and is lacking in CD speed to be a universal drive. Personally, I prefer Hitachi-LG for quality and DVD-RAM. Check out cdrinfo, cdfreaks, videohelp, rpc1.org
