Looking for DSL router with bidirectional printer server

I bought the SpeedStream 2614 DSL router with print server. All was going well until I tried to hook up my HP Photosmart printer to the printer server on the router.

Eventually the manufacturer admitted that this print server struggles with bidirectional printers.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a DSL router with a printer server that really does support bidirectional printers? I am really looking for a cabled system instead of wireless but if these only exist in wireless the I'll go there.

AFAIK no network printer of any sort by any sharing method is bi-directional. At least in my experience with a few different ones I've always had to turn of bi-di support of it to work at all.
