I currently have a NEC 1260 which will only do 300 dpi under Win2000. I am looking for a deal on a good printer that:
- Full Windows 2000 support
- Greater than 8ppm
- 600 dpi

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I got Brother HL-1240 during Officemax $75 off $300 promotion for $225
Its a 12-ppm laser thats supported by win2k, as well as win95/98 and linux. Extremely quiet too.

oh yeah, also before buying anything, I would suggest reading CNet hardware reviews. Most of the popular products over there, even if not reviewed by CNet stuff, has tons of user reviews and opinions. So you can tell how it is received by the majority of people
