Looking for budget router to flash w / dd-wrt to use as a client ?

Are you keen on using DD-WRT with the router? If not. You could probably just use the TP-Link WR841N as a client bridge. It isn't too difficult to set up.

Only reason I say that is I tried using DD-WRT with the WR841N and kept dropping packets, only time it worked well was in client mode which was pointless for me. I was only like 20 feet away from my main router too.

But it probably didn't help that my main router didn't have DD-WRT flashed on it. Might have turned out differently if it did.
