Looking For Budget LGA 775 Motherboard

I just bought a Q8200 processor and I am planning on getting some DDR2-800 RAM.

I am going to be using my 9800GTX card in it as well.

I do not plan on doing any over clocking and it does not matter to me whether it is mATX or just ATX.

I just want a quality motherboard that is budget priced.

just get any LGA775 board that has a PCI-X16 slot. they all work and are all "quality"

not just any 😕 avoid the 9XX line most importantly the 915 as they would only support a pentium 4.....

I would get one with a PCI-E 2.0 slot in it like P45. At the moment I am wondering how much extra mileage PCI-E 1.x will be getting considering 4850x2 already exceeds the bandwidth of PCI-E 1.x. It could be the next generation of single PCB high end chips really starts needing PCI-E 2.0?

I've tried some mATX motherboards by Gigabyte, which we purchased for about $60 each. They work . . . OK . . . but are definitely not "feature-rich" -- and both boards (same model) each had peripheral defects (different on each board) -- making you wonder about the quality control on their low-end product.

For $40 more, Just learning has something there. I got a variation to the EP45-UD3P (the -UD3R) for a file-server I'm building. You probably won't have the hoops I had to go through for a C2D-Conroe, if you're going to use a Q8200.

But barring testaments to the contrary for RAM like the "Reapers," stay away from OCZ. These boards are really great with G.SKILL kits.

but a x48 board thats the cheapest around,
no really they have the bang for the buck..
all other boards break very easy..
its a waste of money to invest in other boards ..
only go for intel boards ............ that is intel genuine boards ..
or the mother boards maufactured by intel them self

.

IIRC, those were the ones with NV chipset. The ones with Intel (G31) chipset are IMHO much better.
