Looking for best 24' monitor for around $300

I'm ready to get a wide screen monitor...the old 19" 4:3 just isn't cutting it any more.

I am a gamer and also into photography...although exact color rendition for the photos isn't critical...so gaming may be the thing to shoot for. What response time do I need for gaming...or are all modern flat panels today fast enough for gaming?

those go on sale from time to time for under $300. the HP zr24m has also been on sale for under $300.

I'd say the dell ultra is the no brainer solution if you can swing a few more dollars or wait for a sale.
