Looking for benchmarks comparing integrated to dedicated graphics for non-graphics-related performance

Just trying to figure out the amount of CPU and Memory useage that gets used when doing things like Photoshop or audio mixing, etc.

I don't think anyone benchmarks GPUs with encoding apps. The only performance difference I can think of would be that integrated solutions suck RAM away from your tasks.

Well, specifically, I'm wondering about audio applications.....sequencers, multitrackers, sythesizers. All are very CPU and memory intensive. As far as a notebook, I'd prefer the affordability and coolness/quiet of integrated, but I need something to guage it against as far as the hit on performance.

Shared memory from the integrated graphics eats up memory bandwidth as well. But nobody benchmarks these things. I've asked the editors at AT multiple times but to no avail.

If you don't already ready know this, there is very little cpu resources used for VGA for 2d app like what you are talking about. Any difference between integrated and dedicated would be negligible.
