Looking for an old guide

This thread is probably a few years late, but here goes anyhow.

I was reading on the web that both the Inspiron 8600 and the Latitude D800 have similar casings and can be interchanged. D800 has superior chassis from what I've read. Tri-metal alloy (D800) vs plastic (i8600).

I've been trying to find a guide to see what parts I need to buy and how to go about converting it. I'm very new to disassembling notebooks, but I've done a lot of work with desktops so I'm sure it won't be too difficult to learn.

If anyone has any info on this I would love to hear it.
