I'm looking to see what the best dvd burner out there is. Price isn't an issue, I just want to see what your opinions out there are. Thanks a ton.
 
I like both my NEC's and my BenQ. The BenQ has slightly better ripping speeds, neither of them have given me any coasters.
 
NEC 3540 or 3550 are good drives. I have a 3540A, use CDBurnerXP Pro 3, and haven't burned one coaster.
 
I'm happy with my Benq 1655 - quiet, fast and seems quite solid.

Edit, I'll also say Plextors are no longer worth the extra money since they are made by Lite-on now (as the Sonys may still be).
